Rashid Latif resigned as a batting coach for Afghanistan's national cricket team due to some allegations with the Afghanistan cricket team. Latif was a former cricket captain for Pakistan.
Rashid Latif stated that, "I was disappointed that despite giving a comprehensive plan to the Afghan cricket authorities for the development of the game at the grass root level that included establishment of academies and grounds, nothing had happened".
The cricket player, Kabir Khan also resigned because of the same problem. Kabir stated that, there is no freedom in the team to explore and implement his ideas. Each decision in the team has to be taken by the Afghanistan Cricket Board officials.
Latif also added that, he had a good training session in Jalalabad with the Afghanistan cricket players but the cricket authorities did not allow him to continue the training sessions. Due to this problem, he resigned and left the team.
