Rajesh Choudhary Wins Laser Radial Event

Rajesh Choudhary from India has won the Gold medal in the laser radial event. He won this gold medal at the International Presidents cup sailing championship in Turkey. His teammate, B.K. Rout won the silver medal and stood in the second place.

In the Women’s sailing championship, Rohini Rau from India has won the silver medal. The entire event consists of thirty two boats. The other Indian player, Gajendar Singh also performed well in the sailing championship game and stood in the 9th position.

The Indian Consul-General, Vanlalhuma watched Choudhary finishing second, Rohini third and Rout fourth in the ninth race. For this Laser event race, Pete Conway worked as a coach for Indian sailors. Totally, 4 players from India have participated in this sailing championship game.

All the four players are the part of Indian group in Grade III races happened in Istanbul (Turkey). Total 12 countries have participated in this International Presidents cup sailing championship.
