Muralitharan to Play for Three More Years

Muttiah Muralitharan announced that he is going to play T20 cricket for 3 more years after the end of his test cricket.

Last month, he was retired and he is the first player in grabbing 800 test wickets. Muralitharan will also continue to play English county cricket for 3 more years.

Murali has stated on Tuesday that, “If Sri Lankan Players want me to play for the coming world cup in 2011 then it’s not a problem for me to continue in the team”. He also said that Spin bowling is very important as it plays a vital role in picking up the wickets. Most of the people believe that spinners will not show effective performance in Twenty20, but Muralitharan, said that spinners are the dominated players in the Twenty20 since past two Indian premier league matches.

Muralitharan will continue to play for Chennai super kings team. They have reached to the finals of the domestic T20 tournaments.
