ECB Warns Kevin Pietersen: Kevin Joins County Party?

Kevin Pietersen plans of playing as a freelancer. But, he is not being allowed as ECB has strictly opposed. They asked Kevin to join any of the counties to stay on the England cricket boat.

England and The Wales Cricket Board (ECB) claims that Pietersen needs an affiliation with a county. After quitting Hampshire, he is not allowed to play. Coach, Andy flower has also reportedly said that Kevin needs the county contract.

Earlier, Kevin had no terms with Hampshire and planned to play as a freelancer. Later, Hampshire refused twice to take Kevin in their squad; this made Kevin’s participation in county more difficult.

Kevin has been warned by ECB for being close to Lalit Modi. They were spotted together at Trent Bridge before the test match against Pakistan. Kevin stated the cause that it is a casual meet for old mate for a beer. Giles Clarke, chairman of ECB warned the higher officials of County’s to stay away from Modi until he is cleared by the BCCI disciplinary committee.



Pietersen and three other players were released to take part in Saturday’s Friends Provident T20 finals day at the Rose Bowl. So, let’s wait and see whether Kevin joins County Party or not.
