The Multi-Million dollar Champions League Twenty20 2nd Edition was launched in glitter function in the presence of top officials of South Africa and retired star player, Muttiah Muralitharan.
CSA president, Dr Nyoka, Secretary Gerald Majola and CL T20 CEO Sundar Raman brought out the trophy of the USD 6 million, prize money. First Twenty20 tournament was held in South Africa.
"We have proved that South Africa has the capacity to hold global events and so there should not be any doubt that this tournament will be a success too. We are happy to have this event here," Dr Nyoka said.
The invitees for this event are South African players, Jean-Paul Duminy, Alviro Petersen, Albie Morkel, Wayne Parnell and Makhya Ntini. Raman said that the Team India will continue representing in future by three teams.
