On Tuesday, Nadal started the game well. He won the match against Russian Teymuraz Gabashvili with 7-6, 7-6 and 6-3 in the U.S. Open.
On Arthur Ashe centre court, Nadal appeared stronger than ever he was. Top seed, Nadal saved the first service break of the match against Gabashvili, ranked #93. Nadal could easily clear off the forehand in the seventh game of the third set before ending the game with another break.
Eight times Grand Slam champion Nadal, who won the French and Wimbledon this year, will meet Denis Istomin of Uzbekistan, who won the match against Maximo Gonzalez.
In 2010, Nadal won Roland Garros and Wimbledon. In Australian Open, he just ended with QF. Nadal has reached till the Semi Finals phase in 2008 and 2009, but he could not win the U.S Open.
