Tim Nielsen, Extends his Contract as Australian Coach

Currently the Australian coach, Tim Nielsen extends his contract to continue as a coach until 2013 for the Ashes series.

Nielsen has been a coach for Australia since 2007 and the team stood as No.1 for one day matches. But, for the test matches, the performance was dropped to world No.4.

Being as a coach, Tim Nielsen was set a record of winning 20 of 36 Tests, 57 of 88 ODIs and 18 of 33 Twenty20s. The captain, Ricky Ponting states that, it was a good decision taken by the Australian cricket board team to continue, Tim Nelson as a coach for the further Cricket matches.

Tim Nielsen stated that, "I am excited about the coming phase in Australian cricket". Tim also added that, it’s a great opportunity for him to continue as a coach and it’s the time to build a new generation for the Australian cricket players for the coming Ashes series.
