Marcos Baghdatis Enters To Third Round of Pilot Pen Tennis Event

The top men’s tennis player, Marcos Baghdatis was the winner in the second round of pilot pen tennis tournament and he will enter into the third round. The prize money for the tournament is $750,000.

The former Australia runner up and the finalist in the U.S open series event, Cypriot Baghdatis had no problem in playing against Igor Andreev in straight sets with a score of 6-2, 6-4.

In the last week semi finals, Rafael Nadal was defeated by Cypriot Baghdatis and made a short work of Russia's Igor Andreev with a score of 6-2 6-4 in gusty conditions.

In the women's tennis category, the last year's finalist, Elena Vesnina was injured as she played against, Maria Kirilenko with a score of 6-1 3-6 6-1.

Last week, the Cypriot, who defeated Rafael Nadal in the semi-finals in Cincinnati, has claimed a victory against the Russia's Igor Andreev.
