Asafa Powell Withdraws from Common Wealth Games

The Champion, Asafa Powell was withdrawn from the CWG and joined the Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt. Powell has withdrawn the game due to the fear of terrorist attacks and other sleaze allegations.

Asafa Powell is a 100m bronze medal champion and was skipped from the recent meeting held in Stockholm, London, Paris and Zurich due to the injuries. Powell’s agent, Paul Doyle stated that he had fitness issues at the time of CWG and the final decision would be taken by Asafa Powell. 

The other players Paula Radcliffe, heptathlon champion Jessica Ennis, athletes Jenny Meadows and Natasha Danvers are not participating in the common wealth games. Powell has suffered with lot of injuries this year and was pulled out of the sprint showdown.

Paul Doyle also added that, this year the timing for the Asafa Powell is much more worse due to injuries and some other allegations.
