Neal Gulkis, team spokesman said that Jackson was injured his other chest muscle during practice on Tuesday.
Jackson was returning after missing last 10 games for Cleveland in last season with a torn pectoral muscle. Jackson has undergone testing and requires surgery. However, he needs to undergo more procedures to determine the extent of his new injury.
The Browns may not release the results or provide further information until Thursday. If Jackson’s muscle is torn then he would likely miss the entire season. Browns coach, Eric Mangini gave his players a day off on Wednesday. But, they were present in the meetings, treatment and training sessions in preparation for the first exhibition game on Saturday against the Packers in Green Bay.
On Tuesday, Jackson, one of the players the Browns most beloved and respected, left midway through the second training. He walked through the dressing room in low spirit and favored his right side as he trying to open a backdoor to the team’s facility.
