The tennis star, Anna Ivanovic rejects the invitation sent by Eugene Lapierre to play Rogers cup tournament going to happen in next week. Anna Ivanovic stated on her blog that, “the tournament director did not allow her to play the game last month with her wild card entry and the director commented her a lot”.
The tournament director, Eugene Lapierre sent invitations to the Canadian players in July to play the Rogers cup due to their challenging conduct at Uniprix Stadium. Eugene Lapierre also added that, Anna Ivanovic is not performing well in the tennis this year and hopes that she might not hurt and come back to the play the game.
According to WTA rankings, Anna Ivanovic is ranked at No. 62. She won Montreal tournament in the year 2006 and Roland-Garros tournament 2 years ago. Eugene Lapierre announced in July that, the players are selected for the tournament and Ivanovic need not certainly play for Rogers cup.
